Here is our Marathon Course. It will be a flat and fast USATF Certified Boston Qualifier!
Big Beach Marathon Turn by Turn
- Start at the Hangout
- Left on E Gulf Pl
- Continue on E 1st St4. Left on E 2nd St
- Right on north on Hwy 59
- Right on E 14th Ave
- Right on Coyote Crossing Trail
- Left on Gulf Oak Ridge Trail
- Continue on to Twin Bridges Trail
- Left on Catman Rd (half marathon breaks off soon after this turn)
- Right on Cotton Bayou Trail
- Left on sidewalk beside SR 161
- Left on to Catman Rd
- Proceed to turnaround
- Head back to SR 161
- Turn left on sidewalk
- Left on sidewalk/trail at Hwy 181
- Left into exit from Orange Beach Municipal Complex
- Left on Rattlesnake Ridge Trail
- Right on Twin Bridges Trail
- Proceed on to Gulf Oak Ridge Trail
- Left on to Park Rd 2 Trail
- Left on to bike lane at Campground entrance
- Follow bike lane to connect with new trail built around campground
- Right on Powerline Rd
- Left on Catman Rd
- Right on Rosemary Dunes Trail
- Right on Beach Mouse Bypass Trail (wooden pedestrian boardwalk)
- Left into Campground and proceed to end of the road and follow straight trail at circle
- Cross Campground Rd
- Left on trail/sidewalk
- Right on West Wetlands Trail (wooden pedestrian boardwalk)
- Proceed on paved trail to pedestrian bridge over Beach Blvd
- Use pedestrian bridge to cross Beach Blvd
- Short right at Lodge entrance
- Left in Beach Blvd bike lane
- Left on E 1st St to finish

6:15 AM -Race Day Opens: Information/Solutions, Late Pick Up, Gear Check
6:45-7:15 - Meet the Pacers inside The HangOut
7:20 - Opening Ceremonies Begin
7:30 AM – Start
9:00 AM - Beer Service Starts
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM - Band
10:00 AM - Half Marathon Awards*
12:00 PM - Marathon Awards*
1:30 PM - Marathon Awards Update*
2:30 PM – Course Officially Closes
3:30 PM – Post-Race Party Ends
*For anyone missing the ceremony, you may pick up your award from the awards table at the main stage prior to 2:30 PM. We will NOT mail out awards or have available after celebration. Please pick up award BEFORE 3:30PM, CHECK YOUR RESULTS!

All participants and their guests are invited to the Party Palooza Sunday, January 26, 2025 at The HangOut.
Parking
If you are staying within 1 mile of the start/finish of Sunday’s Half and Full Marathon, please consider walking.
If you plan to drive if at all possible, carpool with your group of runners.
Public Parking lots are available (off -season, therefore no fees) near start/finish line (101 E Beach Blvd, Gulf Shores, AL 36542). First come, first serve.
Sunday morning shuttle service available from The Lodge to The Hang Out - reservation required. See the transportation page for information.
