Full Marathon Course Map
Big Beach Marathon Turn by Turn Directions:
- Start at the Hangout (East Gulf Place)
- Left on E 1st St
- Left on E 2nd Ave
- Right on Gulf Shores Parkway (Hwy 59)
- Right on Coyote Crossing Trail
- Left on Gulf Oak Ridge Trail
- Continue on to Twin Bridges Trail
- Left on Catman Trail (half marathon breaks off soon after this turn)
- Continue on Catman Trail (Half marathon splits at Rosemary Dunes Trail)
- Right on Cotton Bayou Trail
- Left on sidewalk beside Orange Beach Blvd. (SR 161)
- Left on to Catman Trail
- Proceed to turnaround
- Head back to Orange Beach Blvd. (SR 161)
- Turn left on sidewalk along Orange Beach Blvd. (SR 161)
- Left on Rattlesnake Ridge Trail
- Right on Twin Bridges Trail
- Proceed on to Gulf Oak Ridge Trail
- Left onto Coyote Crossing Trail
- Continue onto Gopher Tortoise Trail
- Left onto bike lane at Campground entrance
- Follow bike lane to connect with Campground Trail
- Continue on Campground Trail (follow Junction311 signage)
- Right on Cross Park Trail
- Left on Catman Trail
- Right on Rosemary Dunes Trail
- Right on Beach Mouse Bypass Trail (wooden pedestrian boardwalk)
- Left into campground (Live Oak Dr.) and proceed to end of the road and follow straight trail at circle
- Cross Campground Rd.
- Left on trail/sidewalk
- Right on Lake Crossing Trail (wooden pedestrian boardwalk)
- Proceed on paved trail to pedestrian bridge over East Beach Blvd.
- Use pedestrian bridge to cross East Beach Blvd.
- Short right at The Lodge entrance
- Left onto Beach Blvd bike lane (against traffic)
- Left on the boardwalk at West Gulf Place (sidewalk adjacent to beach, enjoy the view!)
- Proceed to finish and celebrate your race!
*It will be a flat and fast USATF Certified Boston Qualifier!

6:15 AM -Race Day Opens: Information/Solutions, Late Pick Up, Gear Check
6:45-7:15 - Meet the Pacers inside The HangOut
7:20 - Opening Ceremonies Begin
7:30 AM – Start
9:00 AM - Beer Service Starts
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM - Band
10:00 AM - Half Marathon Awards*
12:00 PM - Marathon Awards*
1:30 PM - Marathon Awards Update*
2:30 PM – Course Officially Closes
3:30 PM – Post-Race Party Ends
*For anyone missing the ceremony, you may pick up your award from the awards table at the main stage prior to 2:30 PM. We will NOT mail out awards or have available after celebration. Please pick up award BEFORE 3:30PM, CHECK YOUR RESULTS!

All participants and their guests are invited to the Party Palooza Sunday, January 26, 2025 at The HangOut.
Parking
If you are staying within 1 mile of the start/finish of Sunday’s Half and Full Marathon, please consider walking.
If you plan to drive if at all possible, carpool with your group of runners.
Public Parking lots are available (off -season, therefore no fees) near start/finish line (101 E Beach Blvd, Gulf Shores, AL 36542). First come, first serve.
Sunday morning shuttle service available from The Lodge to The Hang Out - reservation required. See the transportation page for information.
